This Saturday hundreds of decorated boats and yachts float down a 12 mile route along the New River downtown and up the Intracoastal to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach for the Winterfest Boat Parade. Waterfront holiday parties watch the parade throughout the city at places like Birch State Park as well as at private homes along the Intracoastal. Below is a link to our favorite homes for sale on the Boat Parade Route!

Waterways will be lined with festive kayaks, yachts, and everything in between to celebrate the season. The Fort Lauderdale Boat Parade always makes our list of Favorite Local Christmas Traditions and is listed as one of the top 20 parades in the world. With more than 1 million live viewers, it’s considered the seventh largest spectator event in the country. This year the event kicks off at 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 10th.
