Can you believe that there are only 49 homes in Fort Lauderdale that sit directly on the beach? This video chronicles the demolition of the Phoenix House in Lauderdale Beach. In its prime, the Phoenix House entertained big-shot beach-goers in the 1960s and 70s. The crumbling structure was recently razed and the property was split and rezoned to face East-West. There are 2 lots available; each lot is 62.5 ft wide, creating a house footprint 30% wider than the typical 50 ft beach lot.
